Something I made up & sent to my dad for his 62nd birthday

annual celebratory life observations for a momentary reflection, with globs unsolicited, unwarranted, and potentially irrational and/or irritating advice

Do fun things.

Smile. GREATLY.

Meet amusing people & join in the collaborative mocking of those less interesting, or at least, suspiciously worthy of public ego-deconstruction

Drink fine spirits and eat food which makesyou question your credit rating.

Toast absurdity, drink to jazz, buy obstruficating artwork , dance to silent films, write poems and place them in random places behind products when you shop

Make a nice day.

Embrace your inner child and smother him with love - resuscitate with wisdom and humility as needed.

Do unexpectedly nice things for complete and random strangers when they aren't looking, then look around sheepishly and blame the angels.

Share the meme's that you've almost forgotten so others can catch a clue

Blog your silent dialog with God

Play. Often.

Invoke insane laughter

Make eye contact, smile, drop your shoulders, and open your soul to the possibilities

Practice: tolerance, humility, grace, patience, and either cooking with spices, or the artistic expression of high explosives

Make something up.

Challenge the vision. Assume the impossible. Overcome the insurmountable. Make the next big thing.

Introduce random strangers to each other when you recognize a common characteristic between them.

Create friends.

When you think no one is looking, take a deep breath, focus your mind, center your spirit, calm your body, and then flap around like a crazy chicken.

Dance in the sticky goo of laughter; throw the errant excess globs of it at others

Stop getting older. Right NOW.

Be greater than your are, bolder than your comfortable with, and louder than you need to be, when it's completely irrelevant to others what you are doing

Remember all the best days of your life.

Envision the best days of the lives of everyone you admire, respect, envy, fear, forgive, or ever hurt

Embrace Joy.

Let the bitterness go.

Forget about the transgressions you think others might cause and forgive their stupidity in advance

Be ego-less

Breathe. Deeply.

Smell flowers. Feel rocks. Taste Rain. Listen to the wind. Watch the clouds.

Find the patterns in everything as your mind brings them to you, regardless of how silly, childish, stupid, irrational, unexpected, unwelcome, or amazing they are

Create the context to share with anyone, anything, at anytime

Paint. Sing. Doodle. Tap. Sketch. Hum.

Dream the impossible and believe in it.

Wish on falling stars. Then put them back

Chew Gum. Blow bubbles. Make smacking sounds with your mouth.

Wonder

Plant trees. Pile stones. Remove obstacles. Leave your mark, but don't vandalize.

Pray

Ask the questions you think everyone knows, then challenge their answers

Answer the questions no one has asked

Make funny faces at dogs

Let irritating pests, insects and spiders escape

Talk to yourself. Even if you think you aren't listening.

giggle unexpectedly in elevators or crowded spaces

Find the most annoying song you have ever heard. Sing it loudly, and off-key, during the longest leg of a roadtrip with the ones you care about most as your captive audience.

Bring It

Watch animals and children play

Absorb youthfulness

Draw a picture with crayons or colored pencils like you used to do when you were a kid. Put it on the refrigerator with a note to someone you love.

Chase someone or something that will run away when chased

BE your inner child

Hug someone new everyday, or someone old, at least twice

Memorize the rhythm of the moments you value most, hum as required

re-learn the hula hoop, the pogo stick, and how to play jax

juggle

Be mindful of the discomfort of others, and help them get over it

Make smiley faces on post-its and put them everywhere you go

smirk. snort. chortle. guffaw. bust out.

risk something valuable

Consider doing what you inherently feel you can't

Feel what you consider you're instinctively missing

avoid refined sugar products or vegetables, but not both

Play games you suck at with people who don't know

Let others win when they don't expect too

Elevate the shyest, smallest, weakest, most reserved and quiet person you know to a level of demi-godhood. Publicly.

Invent optimism

Share your innocence. Expose your naivete. Illuminate your weakness to those that you draw strength from.

compose a random stream of consciousness and send it to others

Thank your parents for all the things, but feel free to occasionally blame your siblings for the rest
