Finding the problems that you weren't looking for

So was reading this over on Ars. With all the data mining going on by the NSA, how soon before we truly deteriorate into a Police state? If every action, if every whim, if every belief, every communication, every location, of your entire life was tracked, monitored and connected, how can they not make issue of the slightest transgressions in the name of National Security?

With all the debate over man playing God in Science, what about the constructs of man, in the form of TIA, being used as judgment Day. Which is updated, in real-time, daily?

With no oversight, how can anyone be certain of it's proper use?

Without disclosure, how can it be protected from misuse?

If information is King, then the NSA, and this administration, clearly wants to be God. How long before the real powers that be take action on this kind of Hubris? This is the essence of the Greek Tragedy, of the myth of the civilizations that have been wiped off the face of the Earth for their sins against the gods and man.
