While I'm no expert, it occurs to me there's nothing I've come across yet that suggest that the belief in Reincarnation is nothing more than an idea that follows the concept of linear time. Birth-Life-Death. Repeat.
What's to stop a soul from being Reincarnated within the same segments of time. So that, right now, you could be everyone else you interact with, but at a different level of karma?
It would make for a very interesting application of instant karma as we deal with others - harshly, callously, indifferently, friendly, and even lovingly.
So, really, be nice to yourself.
