I said that once in a meeting with some co-workers. It was funny, but not uncommon to hear among people who've had some exposure to higher math, or Dr. Who.

Its esoteric enough to require explanation to most people, which is why hyperlinks are so cool for passive instruction. If you're curious, you'll jump down the rabbit hole to see how far it goes. If you're not, you'll walk on, and miss a whole other view point to the universe.
